Dental Bridge
A fixed replacement for one or more missing teeth, supported by the teeth either side.
Learn more about Dental BridgeSeveral ways to replace a missing tooth, each suiting different situations — set out clearly so you can decide with your dentist.
A missing tooth affects more than appearance. Neighbouring teeth can drift into the space, the opposing tooth can over-erupt, and chewing can become uneven. Replacing it is often about protecting the teeth you still have.
There is no single best answer. Bridges, dentures and implants each suit different situations, and the right choice depends on the position of the gap, the health of the teeth and gums around it, the supporting bone, and what matters most to you.

Fit, comfort and cleaning are checked afterwards.
If you have one or more missing teeth, or are facing an extraction, a consultation is the place to start. Your dentist will examine the area, usually take x-rays, and set out which options are realistic for you — including the option of leaving the gap, where that is reasonable.
Fixed, supported by the teeth either side. Several designs; see the price list.

If your question is not here, please ask when you contact the practice.
Not always. It depends on where the gap is and what the surrounding teeth are doing. Your dentist will explain the likely consequences either way so you can make an informed choice.
There is no single best option. Each suits different situations, and the right answer depends on your mouth and your priorities. That is what the consultation is for.
The gum and bone need time to heal, and how long varies. Your dentist will advise on timing for your case.
Please ask at consultation. We will confirm what is provided here and what would involve a referral.
It depends on the option. Many bridge and denture fees are on our price list; others are quoted after assessment because laboratory costs vary.
