How are they fitted?

The teeth which needs crown will be prepped first. An imprint or a scan of the teeth will be taken and will be sent to a dental technician, who will then manufacture the crown to the specific size, shape, and colour which will be fitted in your mouth by your dentist. To minimise any inconvenience, a local anaesthetic is usually administered before preparation.
It usually takes two weeks for the lab to deliver the crowns.

Our specialists will fit a temporary crown while the permanent crown is made. Although the temporary crown may not be as sturdy as the permanent crown, it is an excellent substitute throughout the transitional restoration procedure.

Once the permanent crown is ready, our specialists will install the crown in place, making minor changes to guarantee a comfortable bite. The crown is bonded after you, and your dentist is satisfied. If a considerable portion of the original tooth is missing, crowns are occasionally secured in place by a tiny post in the root canal.

Maintenance of your crown
Depending on the quality of the original tooth, the crown can last for many years, provided excellent dental hygiene is followed. Nevertheless, we encourage our patients to take extra precautions to keep the crown and surrounding region clean. Furthermore, our dentists or dental hygienists will advise you on a suitable home care regimen.
